Prof. Mei Daquan of the University of California, Berkeley, USA, invented a new type of cement, high-strength cement that saves energy and eats industrial waste, and obtained the patent for the cement. This kind of cement uses fly ash or steel slag, red mud, and sulphate sludge as raw materials. The content of calcium oxide in high-strength hydraulic cement is usually reduced by 25%, but it is increased by 5-20% of iron oxide and 10%.
