翻开馆藏抗战时期的《新华日报》,摆在我们面前的报纸与其他历史报刊并无两样——“平静”的报头,“平静” 的版面,“平静’”的广告设计……,一切都与别的馆藏报纸一样的“平静”.然而,这“平静”里却包含了该报独有的而为我们今天所看不见的血与火的艰难奋斗.它诞生在战火纷飞的抗战年代的武汉,又在日寇隆隆炮声逼进武汉的危急情况下迁到了重庆.本文拟对《新华日报》作一简介,并着重从该报由汉迁渝之艰辛这一侧面,来透视它的血与火的奋斗历程,从中认识它所蕴含的革命传统教育的深刻意义.《新华日报》是抗日战争时期和解放战争时期,中国共产党在国统区公开出版的唯一一张全国性党报.它1938年1月11日创刊于武汉,1947年2月28日终刊于重庆,共历经9年1个月零18天.
