唐代的兵家李筌,在《太白阴经》中曾经以这样的一段文字,点出了不同地域的人们的性格特点:“秦人劲,晋人刚,吴人怯,蜀人懦,楚人轻,齐人多诈,越人浇薄,海岱之人壮,崆峒之人武,燕赵之人说,凉陇之人勇,韩魏之人厚……” 今天的社会学家则常常以“生态位现象”来解释人的分类和区别。“生态位”主要包括人所处的生态环境和人所需要的生态环境。所谓生态环境,指的自然环境和社会环境。自然环境由气候、食物、土壤和地形等方面构成。社会环境由文化、观念、道德、政策等等所构成。
