IBM 最近宣布,继去年10月在美国、日本和欧洲成功启动工程技术服务(E&TS)后,IBM 也即将在中国市场开展这一新服务业务,并为此专门成立一个机构——大中华区工程技术服务部,以上海为总部开拓在中国市场的相关业务。其用意主要是,通过整合、利用 IBM 优势资源,为用户提供相应的增值服务。IBM E&TS 总经理杜博年(PatToole)表示,工程技术服务是一个正在高速成长的市场,到2006年全球市场规模将达到70亿美元。E&TS 目前在全球已形成1500人规模,在整合IBM 已有的技术资源和服务能力基础上,帮助各行业客户设计系统和元器
IBM recently announced that IBM will soon launch this new service business in the Chinese market following the successful launch of E & TS in the United States, Japan and Europe last October and has since set up a special agency called Greater China Engineering Technical Services to Shanghai to develop the headquarters for the Chinese market-related business. Its intention is mainly through the integration, the use of IBM’s superior resources, to provide users with the appropriate value-added services. Pat Toole, general manager of IBM E & TS, said that engineering services is a rapidly growing market that will reach $ 7 billion by 2006.
