由特殊教育学校自愿报名、《现代特殊教育》编辑部审核通过,《现代特殊教育》理事会于2012年5月在南京成立。首届理事会共吸收34家成员学校。这些学校将和《现代特殊教育》编辑部一起,构建推动特殊教育学校深化教育教学改革,推广特殊教育学校科学管理经验与教学科研成果,促进特殊教育学校间资源共享、教学互动、优势互补的崭新平台。《现代特殊教育》也将通过理事会运作,进一步整合特教资源,加强对全国特殊教育学校的服务,力争推出一批在全国有影响的特殊教育学校、校长和教师,更好地引领特殊教育事业加快发展、健康发展。
