非物质文化遗产是各族人民在长期的历史发展过程中,以口头传播或言传身教等非物质形式流传下来的宝贵的精神财富,是一个地域、一个民族历史的记忆和智慧的结晶,和文化遗产一起构成民族传统文化的大厦。目前,受市场经济发展的影响,一些非物质文化遗产的传承处于难以为继地步。地方高校作为文化传播和学术研究的重要阵地,应当积极主动地担负起传承非物质文化遗产的重任。
