金砖国家领导人第九次会晤于9月3日至5日在厦门举行,峰会主题为“深化金砖伙伴关系,开辟更加光明未来”。作为今年金砖国家轮值主席国,中国与金砖各国及其他发展中国家就如何共同开创金砖合作第二个“金色十年”展开讨论。《人民日报》人民日报发表题为《让“金砖蛋糕”越做越大》的文章称,多年来,金砖国家探索出了一条新兴市场国家和发展中国家团结合作、互利共赢的新路子。金砖国家领导人通过的《金砖国家领导人厦门宣言》,达成70多项共识,涉及内容之广、领域之多,堪称金砖国家领导人会晤成果之最。
