“认养学校”(Circle the Schools)始于2014年9月,即参加活动的旧金山高科技公司与当地一所公立中小学结成对子,公司与学校共同讨论学校最需要的资源(包括图书、设备、人力、课程等),并由公司提供帮助。高科技公司根据学校的具体情况和需求,在为期一年的时间里为认养学校组织3至5项活动,活动内容从给学生在考试期间送课间餐,到参与学校的朗读活动;从带学生们参观公司并与员工建立良好关系,到为学校提供编码课程等等。
