All thanks to the party August 27, 1964, it was an unforgettable day for my life. On this day, my ordinary electric welder embarked on a world scientific forum under the training and education of the Party and read the paper “The welding production of a 12,000 ton forging hydraulic press” to scientists from four continents. This paper is about how I and my peers applied the new high-efficiency electroslag welding technology to solve the manufacturing problem of the huge complex orange structure of the 10,000-ton hydraulic press. It has attracted the general interest and praise of engineering experts from various countries. I think this is not for me alone. It is for the working class of the New China who has given full play to the Cong under the wise leadership of the Party and Chairman Mao.
