在人类刚刚进入新的世纪、我国的经济建设和社会发展进入一个新阶段的时刻,我们迎来了中国共产党成立80周年这一喜庆的日子。这是全国人民的节日,也是包括中国民主促进会在内的所有民主党派的共同节日。因为中国共产党的80年历程就是领导中国人民争取民族解放和建设富强祖国的历史。中国人民从自己的祖国由上个世纪初的哀鸿遍野、饿殍相属到现在的初步繁荣这一过程里,深深地懂得了这样的真理:没有共产党就没有新中国,没有共产党就没有中国初步繁荣的今天和更为辉煌的明天——中国共产党兴则中国兴,中国共产党衰则中国衰。中国民主促进会八万名会员从我会成立以来56年的实践中体会到,在中国共产党领导下实行的多党合作、政治协商制度是我国不断取得成就的保证之一,是我国在激荡的国际环境中能够长期稳定、全国人民安心进行建设的重要原因。而这一制度之所以在中国行之有效,能够成为国家的基本政治制度,是因为它渊源
At a time when mankind has just entered a new century and our country’s economic construction and social development have entered a new stage, we have witnessed the festive occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party. This is a holiday for the people throughout the country and a common holiday for all democratic parties, including the China Democratic Progressive Association. Because the 80-year history of the Chinese Communist Party is the history of leading the Chinese people in their struggle for national liberation and building a prosperous and strong motherland. The Chinese people have deeply understood the truth from their devastated anger in their own motherland at the beginning of the last century to the initial prosperity of the present era that there is no new China without the Communist Party and no initial prosperity of China without the Communist Party Today and a brighter tomorrow - the rise of the Chinese Communist Party in China, the decline of the Chinese Communist Party in China. From the 56 years since I set up, the 80,000 members of the China Association for the Promotion of Democracy (CPC) have come to realize that the system of multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China is one of the pledges of our continuous achievements. The important reason for the long-term stability in the international environment and the peace of the people throughout the country. And the reason why this system works well in China and can become the country’s basic political system is because of its origin
