近年来,用玻璃马赛克做高层建筑等外墙饰面逐渐增多,它具有坚实、耐久、光滑、色匀、明快、美观等优点,是一种比较理想的房屋外墙饰面材料。爱国建设公寓工程,共有高级住宅房屋八栋,第一期四栋,现一栋已竣工。每栋建筑面积8805平方米,结构滑模十五层,外墙高44.6米,底层以上外墙饰面5172平方米全部采用玻璃马赛克。其中阳角和内井外墙面采用白色玻璃马赛克,挑阳台外墙面采用淡咖啡色玻璃马赛克和外墙面采用米黄带棕点花色玻璃马赛克。色彩和谐、明亮,装饰效果好。铺贴工期73天,平均产量2.07平方米/工一日,比铺贴普通马赛克提高工效15％左右。
