繁塔原名兴慈塔,又名天清寺塔,建于北宋初年。该塔形制独特,建筑装饰精美,塔身内外遍镶模制的佛像、罗汉、菩萨、乐伎等造像砖及动物、花卉等纹样雕砖,造型众多;塔内还有多部宋代石刻佛经及大量捐施题记等,书法精湛,史料丰富,堪称宋代艺术的宝库。同时该塔也是中国古代佛塔由密檐式佛塔向八角形楼阁式佛塔过渡的典型实例,是河南省乃至全国宋塔中的代表,具有极高的文物价值。
Fan tower formerly known as Xing Ci Tower, also known as Tianqing Temple tower, was built in the early Northern Song Dynasty. The tower is unique in shape and beautifully decorated. There are numerous statues of brick, animals, flowers and other statues of carvings, such as statues of Buddha, Lohan, Bodhisattva, A large number of donated inscriptions, calligraphy superb, rich historical data, called the treasure house of Song Dynasty art. At the same time, the tower is also a typical example of the transition from the Miyan Pagoda to the octagonal pagoda in the ancient Chinese pagoda. It is also the representative of Song Tower in Henan Province and even the whole country, with a high value of cultural relics.
