香港航运业近年取得巨大成就,作为亚太地区国际航运中心,拥有世界一流的国际集装箱港和世界最大的独立商船队。2006年,香港港口货柜吞吐量再创新高,达2350万个标准箱。已连续两年位居世界十大集装箱港口第二位,而在过去10年,香港曾经数年位居世界第一。
Hong Kong’s shipping industry has made great achievements in recent years. As an international shipping center in the Asia Pacific region, Hong Kong owns a world-class international container port and the largest independent merchant fleet in the world. In 2006, the throughput of Hong Kong’s ports reached another record high of 23.5 million TEUs. Ranking the second in the world’s top ten container ports for two consecutive years. In the past 10 years, Hong Kong ranked first in the world for several years.
