This article reviews the value, potential, problems and safety of recombinant human growth hormone (rHGH) in the treatment of AIDS-related syndromes and discusses the effects of rHGH on immune function and other aspects of AIDS patients. In 1998, the American Society of Clinical Endocrinologists developed the ”rHGH Clinical Guide“ formally proposed rHGH treatment of AIDS-related consumption syndrome. In 2000, the United States developed ”guidelines for adult treatment of AIDS" rHGH treatment of AIDS-related consumption syndrome as a first-class recommendations, the guidelines for the highest score.
