本研究在系统功能语法及物性新模式的基础上,系统探讨了英语there be构式的语义和语法特征:存在过程是及物性范畴,there be构式是语法范畴,后者是前者的词汇-语法表现形式。进而通过大量语言实例,运用认知语言学的构式和隐喻理论,对there be构式中涉及的33种隐喻类别进行了系统描写和分析。研究表明,there be构式中的所有隐喻现象都是在系统成分的实例化过程中产生的,仍然属于语法隐喻的范畴,但具有认知属性,是始源过程类型向目标过程类型映射或/和整合的结果。
Based on the new model of system functional grammar and properties, this study systematically explores the semantic and grammatical features of English there be constructions: Existence process is a category of matter, there be a grammatical category, and the former is a vocabulary of the former - Grammatical manifestations. Then through a large number of language examples, using the constructivism and metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics, 33 kinds of metaphorical categories involved in the be be constructed are systematically described and analyzed. The research shows that all the metaphorical phenomena in the there be construct are generated during the instantiation of the system components and still belong to the category of grammatical metaphors but have the cognitive properties of mapping the source process type to the target process type or / And the result of integration.
