中国的人物品评,由来已久,起于先秦时代,真正形成于东汉。《人物志》系统地总结了汉魏以来品评人物的方法和理论,《世说新语》生动地记载了品评人物的许多生动事例,两者都是当时社会品藻风气的产物。《人物志》着重理论阐释,而《世说新语》以文学的角度描写着重事实例证,可以说《世说新语》中对于人物的容貌言行等记载是《人物志》人才论的具体例证。
China’s character evaluation, a long time, from the pre-Qin era, the real formation in the Eastern Han Dynasty. “Personality Records” systematically summarizes the methods and theories of character evaluation since the Han and Wei Dynasties, and “Shi Shuo Xin Yu” vividly records many vivid examples of the character review, both of which are the product of the social ethos. “Personages Zhi” focuses on the theoretical explanation, while “Shi Shuo Xin Yu” describes the evidence of fact from the perspective of literature. It can be said that the description of the characters’ words and deeds in “Shi Shuo Xin Yu” is a concrete example of “Personality” .
