我们现在看到的这栋建筑,是大智门火车站的候车厅。它位于汉口城内车站路西北端。又称汉口火车站,原为芦汉铁路,也就是后来的京汉铁路南端终点站。1896年破土动工,1903年建成,占地1176平方米。大智门火车站是中国第一条长距离准轨铁路大型车站,其主体建筑候车大厅距今已有100多年,是中国近代铁路尚存的重要历史见证。曾经有人说过,大智门是武汉的现代之门。当走进这扇大门,我们深深地被它所承载的厚重的历史而折服,我们看到了这是一栋凝固了国人现代化梦想的不朽
The building we now see is the waiting room at Dazhimen Railway Station. It is located in the northwest of Hankow Station Road. Also known as Hankou Railway Station, formerly Luhan Railway, which is later the terminus of the southern terminus of Beijing-Wuhan Railway. Ground breaking in 1896, completed in 1903, an area of 1176 square meters. Dazhimen Railway Station is China's first large-scale long-distance railroad station. Its main building waiting hall has been around for more than 100 years and is an important historical witness to the modern railways in China. Someone once said that Dazhimen is the modern gateway to Wuhan. As we walked into this door, we were deeply impressed by the heavy history it carried, and we saw it as an immortal that has solidified the dream of our nation's modernization
