A complex problem in the design and construction of the McNary dam is the construction of suitable access to the fish blocked by the river. In order to build this tunnel for fish supply, we not only need to increase our investment but also spend on running and maintenance in the future. McNarry’s over-fishing facility was modeled after the Bonneville Dam’s over-fishing facility and was modified as appropriate and referenced to useful information collected and studied by the dam. The Bonville Dam has been operating for about a decade. This article discusses McNarry Dam’s over-fishing facility, discusses the design goals, briefly describes the issues in construction and operation, and discusses the possibilities for further improvement.
