According to a report released by the World Health Organization in March 1996, nearly 3 million people died of tuberculosis in 1995 in the world, more than in any previous year. Almost every second in the world there is one new person infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is estimated that over 300 million people will be infected in the next 10 years, of which 90 million will be affected and 30 million will die of tuberculosis. This is a staggering figure, but it is a serious challenge that mankind is actually facing. It is particularly disturbing that the proportion of TB-resistant strains is increasing. This makes the existing variety of drugs for the treatment of tuberculosis no longer as strong as ever for M. tuberculosis. So, tuberculosis will not become incurable again? Of course the answer is no. As long as the early diagnosis, and follow the joint, regular, appropriate, full of medication principles, tuberculosis can be controlled and cured. The current method of advocating Dayton service can overcome the impact of resistant bacteria, and play an excellent therapeutic effect.
