1995年上海第三届科技节的主题就是“人类进入了信息社会”。这是因为信息技术是现代科学技术的先导技术,它的发展与应用水平是衡量一个国家综合国力的重要标志,同时又能带动一批相关技术和产业的发展,以及带来广泛的就业机会。因而当前世界各国以建设“信息高速公路”为旗帜,正在进行一场旨在加速信息化进程的新的技术革命。在这场反映世界各国经济社会发展的大趋势和竞争中,美国以其资金和人才的优势处于领先地位。
The theme of the 3rd science and technology festival in Shanghai in 1995 was “Human beings entered the information society.” This is because information technology is the leading technology in modern science and technology. Its level of development and application is an important indicator of the overall national strength of a country. At the same time, it can also promote the development of a number of related technologies and industries and bring about a wide range of employment opportunities.
