题跋是一种古典文体,是别一样的散文(收藏家关涉版本目录、金石之学的文字除外),在现代社会几近消失了,它起于何时已不可考,盖观书画赏碑帖阅书籍者,一时感兴勃发,兴之所至,在卷首书尾空白处疾书数行题识之辞,聊以述怀,是为题记跋尾。最初应是无意为之,后来成了“自觉”的书写。明人吴讷在《文章辨体序说》中指出:“汉晋诸集,题跋不载,至唐韩、柳有读某书及读某文题其后之名。迨宋欧、曾而后,始有跋语。”~①欧阳修
