江西省范围内红壤丘陵山区的生态环境,正面临着继续恶化的危险趋势.现在,在江西全省2400条大小河流中,季节性河流占93.3％.全省年土壤流失量1.6亿吨,水土流失面积扩大到5180万亩.要改变红壤区域生态环境恶化的趋势,必须把山区生态环境的建设与生产建设紧密结合起来.对生态建设的各项具体措施,都要讲求经济效益.在山区开发的各项事业(例如采矿)中必须强调保护生态环境.要合理开发和有效保护水资源和红壤资源.
