建国初期,董必武为增进民族间的团结、贯彻党的民族区域政策做出了不懈的努力。大力宣传党的民族政策,极力维护民族团结;呕心沥血,积极推动民族区域自治政策的实施;不畏艰险,亲临少数民族地区进行视察和指导。董必武对建国初期党的民族工作的顺利开展起到了重大的推动作用,做出了重大的贡献。
In the early days of the founding of New China, Dong Biwu made unremitting efforts to promote unity among ethnic groups and implement the party’s policy on regional ethnic regions. We must vigorously publicize the party’s ethnic policy and strongly safeguard national unity. We worked hard to promote the implementation of the policy on regional ethnic autonomy. We did not hesitate to take risks and visit the ethnic minority areas for inspection and guidance. Dong Biwu played a significant role in promoting the party’s ethnic work in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic and made significant contributions.
