The selective oxidation of alkanes into their corresponding olefins has attracted great interest in recent years. Ethane is the second major component of natural gas. The industrial production of ethylene from light alkanes such as ethane uses thermal pyrolysis by high-temperature steam, which is costly in energy[1].
