对辽宁某海绵钛生产厂的γ辐射水平、主要环境介质和含钛废渣中总α、总β、U、226Ra、232Th、40K的放射性比活度进行了监测;对含钛废渣所造成的环境放性影响及其处理进行了放射性卫生学评价。收尘炉渣和钛废渣的总α比活度分别为5.37×104Bq·kg-1和1.46×104Bq·kg-1,不属于放射性固体废物,属于低于低放射性废物,不适于用做建筑材料,而应加以管理,选择合适地点掩埋,或在废巷道中存放。该厂使用的高钛渣中含226Ra、232Th、40K比活度较高,属伴生放射性矿物,应依“伴生矿放射性管理规范”的要求,实施监督和监测,以保护环境和公众的安全。文章最后提出了卫生防护措施和对策。
