刘鹏举校长云浮中学校长,党委书记。中学历史高级教师,倡导内涵发展,文化强校的办学理念,大力开展责任教育,先后荣获“云中名师”、云城区“高考工作先进个人”、云浮市“优秀教师”、云浮市首届“基础教育学科带头人”、广东省“南粤优秀教师”等称号。云浮中学始建于1914年11月,原名云浮县初级中学,校址在原云城书香圣地的泷东书院。1916年改名为云浮中学,1976年2月被广东省文教办公室确认为县级重点中学,2000年11月被评为广东省一级学校,是云浮市首批重点中学。
