General groundwater and surface water contain sulfate. A small amount of sulfate in water has no effect on the human body, but more than 400 mg / l has a bitter taste, more than 750 mg / l has caused diarrhea. For the allowable concentration of sulfate in water, generally set at 250 mg / l, the WHO international standard also provides the maximum allowable concentration of 400 mg / l; wartime drinking standards in the United States and the provisions of the drinking water within 7 days sulfate content allows 400 mg / L, the Nordic army provides 300 mg / l. China’s drinking water health standards for the provisions of 250 mg / l, yet to develop wartime standards.
