Background: Ankylosing spondylitis(AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the joints between the vertebrae of the spine, and the joints between the spine and the pelvis. It eventually causes the affected vertebrae to fuse or grow together.The special cause and therapy for this disease is unknown. It is past to think the AS is a kind of less spinal column disease.Along with progress in study of rheumatology at our country,AS is considered a kind of commonly encountered disease in China.rn
