课余体育锻炼是学校体育的重要组成部分,是提升青少年健康体质、发展学校体育的重要路径。课余体育锻炼具有多元性、情境性、动态性、偶发性、隐蔽性特征;课余体育锻炼应给予青少年参与锻炼、满足兴趣、承受负荷、独立自主、身心放松、竞技竞争、自我展示、团队协作、情感交流、观赏欣赏、领导组织、服务关爱、接触社会、观察学习和主观能动的机会。学校在设计课余体育锻炼活动方案时,应有意识地将这些特征和要素融入活动的设计和组织中去,这不仅有助于提高课余体育锻炼活动的效果,而且可以有效提高课余体育锻炼活动的质量。
