《中庸》两篇说主张根据文体或者内容的不同,把《中庸》分为上下两篇。此说由来已久,历来不乏支持者。湖北郭店楚墓竹简出土之后,《中庸》两篇说得到进一步阐扬。其实,《中庸》被划分为两个部分的论据并不充分:其一,《中庸说》仅是《中庸》的解诂,而非《中庸》本身;其二,引用体与议论体的划分存在模糊性,无法确切分割;其三,“中庸”与“诚”两个主题就内涵而言是相互涵摄、相互构成的内在一体关系,二者共同构成《中庸》的天人合一体系,缺一不可。
The Doctrine of the Mean holds two arguments that the “mean” should be divided into two parts according to different styles or contents. This has a long history and there has always been no shortage of supporters. Thirdly, the two themes of “Doctrine of the Mean” and “Sincerity” are connotative and mutually intertwined with each other in connotation, and both of them together form the “golden mean” day People are one system, indispensable.
