陶行知先生是闻名中外的伟大人民教育家,是我国教育的改革先驱。他怀着“改革教育、改造中国、振兴中华”的赤子之忱,从我国实际出发,进行了一系列的创造性教育改革实验,创立了具有中国特色的民族的、大众的、科学的、全面的、创造性的、不断发展进步的“生活教育”理论,为我国新的教育奠定了理论基础。李鹏同志曾说:“对陶行知的教育思想进行研究,这对搞好教育改革和人才培养是有好处的。”
