杨眉的长篇小说《兵团儿女》描写了八千湘女参军上天山、百万解放军在新疆兵团搞生产的宏伟场面。本文以兵团儿女谢冬、谢军兄妹为中心,从五个方面探讨《兵团儿女》的主题内涵。即以谢冬和养父哈萨克族哈尼肯一家的关系反映了民汉一家、兵团和地方的鱼水情;以谢冬和养父尕老汉刘雨村的关系反映了兵团是英才聚集的地方;以谢冬曲折的恋情反映了兵团建制过程中部分领导利用强权掠夺美色,制造婚恋悲剧的现实;以谢冬曲折的事业反映了兵团在生产建设过程中出现的斗争和失误;以谢军的恋爱和婚姻,反映了现实和理想的巨大反差。
