20世纪60年代,随着人本主义心理学的兴起和发展,语言教学中的情感问题越来越受到重视。人本主义心理学认为,教学应该以促进人的全面发展为目标,要实现该目标,必须把认知和情感,两方面统一起来。然而,无论东方还是西方,不管是在以往的教育还是在目前的教育中,人们过于强调大脑的理性和认知功能,而忽视了非理性方面的发展。这种倾向在语言教学中表现为过分强调语言学习的认知因素,忽视情感因素对语言学习的影响。然而情感因素对于外语教学,提高英语教学质量具有重大的影响。
In the 1960s, with the rise and development of humanistic psychology, the problem of emotion in language teaching has drawn more and more attention. Humanistic psychology holds that teaching should aim at promoting the all-round development of human beings. To achieve this goal, we must unify cognitive and emotional aspects. However, both in the East and in the West, people either overemphasize the rational and cognitive function of the brain, ignoring irrational development, whether in previous education or current education. This tendency manifests in the language teaching as overemphasizing the cognitive factor of language learning, ignoring the influence of the affective factor on language learning. However, emotional factors have a significant impact on foreign language teaching and improving the quality of English teaching.
