今年夏季,长江、嫩江、松花江流域发生的特大洪水,成了举国上下关注的焦点。在以江泽民同志为核心的党中央亲切关怀和坚强领导下,数百万军民万众一心,顽强奋战,用自己的血肉之驱筑起了一道道新的长城,抗住了一次次洪峰,终于取得了抗洪抢险的伟大胜利。这胜利是爱国主义、集体主义和社会主义的伟大胜利,是中华民族自强不息、团结奋斗精神的伟大胜利;这胜利塑造了伟大的抗洪精神,也体现了我国已具有强大的物质基础和先进的科学技术。
This summer, the extraordinary floods in the Yangtze River, Nenjiang River and Songhua River Basin have become the focus of attention of all over the country. Under the cordial care and strong leadership of the party Central Committee with Comrade Jiang Zemin as the core, millions of military and civilian people are united and hard-working, building a new Great Wall with their own flesh and blood and resisting a flood peak and finally made Great victory in flood fighting and rescue. This victory is a great victory of patriotism, collectivism and socialism and a great victory of the Chinese nation in its self-improvement and unity and struggle. This victory shaped the great anti-flood spirit and embodied our country's already strong material foundation and advanced science technology.
