2001年对于中国,除了具有开启21世纪的重大意义外,仿佛更是一个“多事之秋”:申了多少年的“奥”终于在这一年里有志者事竟成;“冲出亚洲”的口号喊了40多年的中国男足也在前不久种瓜得瓜;而苦苦谈判了十五年的“中国入世”更是眼看着就要变成现实。有了这几件大事的罗列,2001年是“多事之秋”一说自然是千真万确地成立了。
