陈明仁(1903—1974),湖南醴陵人。1949年8月4日,在任国民党第一兵团司令官时与程潜领衔通电起义。长沙和平解放后,任湖南省临进政府主席、兼中国国民党人民解放军第一兵团司令员。同年11月,所部改编为中国人民解放军第21兵团,仍任司令员。全国兵团撤销后,任55军军长。1955年被授予中国人民解放军上将军衔。是中南军政委员会委员,中华人民共和国国防委员会委员,第一届、三届全国人大代表,第一届全国政协委员,第三届、第四届全国政协常委。
Chen Mingren (1903-1974), Hunan Liling people. August 4, 1949, the first Corps commander of the Kuomintang and Cheng Qian led the power uprising. After the peaceful liberation of Changsha, he was appointed chairman of Hunan Provisional Government and commander of the First Corps of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. In November the same year, the Department adapted for the 21st Chinese People’s Liberation Army Corps, still commander. After the withdrawal of the Corps, any 55 army commander. In 1955 was awarded the rank of general of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. It is a member of the South China Military and Political Committee and a member of the National Defense Commission of the People’s Republic of China. The first and third NPC deputies, members of the first CPPCC National Committee and the third and fourth members of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee.
