After the grand controversy in the international communist movement of the early 1960s, the relations between the Chinese Communist Party and the overwhelming majority of the Communist Parties in all countries of the world were interrupted, followed by the “Cultural Revolution” in our country which was criticized and accused by the Communist parties in many countries. The party’s external liaison work has become narrower and narrower, focusing on the interaction with the newly formed “leftist” organizations that have been split from the communist parties in the capitalist countries. The mass foundation and social impact of these organizations in the country are very limited. After smashing the “gang of four,” especially after the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, the party’s liaison with the outside world has been fully adjusted. In the light of the needs of the national development strategy and in the spirit of transcending ideological differences and seeking mutual understanding and cooperation, the party relations were rapidly opened up.
