我国是一个多民族的社会主义国家,汉语是各族人民在长期的共同发展中,交流思想、沟通感情、和睦相处、相互学习的重要交际工具,在科学技术高度发展的今天,一个民族、一个国家,在学习掌握本民族、本国的语言文字,已经成为强国富民的必由之路。随着新疆改革开放的不断深入和扩大,各地区、各民族之间经济文化的交流日益密切和广泛,广大少数民族干部和群众越来越深刻地认识到,学习掌握汉语不仅是发展少数民族教育,提高各民族素质,加强民族团结,巩固祖国边防、推动社会主义精神文明建设,培养高层次少数科技人才迫切需要,而且也是加快发展我区商品经济,促进商品流通,繁荣地方经济,实现各族人民共同发展、共同繁荣昌盛的迫切需要。
