一、汽蚀对材料的侵蚀作用在水泵、水轮机和其它有液体流动的设备中常常会发生一种汽蚀现象。这种现象的发生,是由于液体流动时局部流速的增加而引起局部压力下降(流体力学中的伯努利方程式原理),当压力降到低于液体的饱和蒸汽压时,液体发生汽化,形成许多汽泡,它们随着液流一起运动,到达压力超过饱和蒸汽压的区域时,蒸汽重新凝结,汽泡溃灭,这就是所谓汽蚀现象。
