5·12汶川大地震爆发后,中华儿女在大灾大难面前永不低头的伟大民族精神得到了充分展示。可以说此次救灾过程中体现出的抗震精神为社会主义核心价值体系的构建提供了难得的机遇和素材,社会主义核心价值得到了充分彰显。在此背景下,2008年5月18日,由人民日报社人民论坛杂志社、北京市科学社会主义学会、中国人民大学马克思主义学院联合主办的社会主义核心价值体系理论研讨会在中国人民大学召开,北京市科社学会会长、北京大学教授闫志民,人民论坛杂志社总编辑贾立政,中国人民大学马克思主义学院院长、教授秦宣,国家行政学院教授徐鸿武等专家学者参加了本次座谈会。会议围绕社会主义核心价值体系的内容、时代特征、核心价值体系与民族精神的关系等问题进行了探讨。会议一致认为,社会主义核心价值体系的构建具有重大意义,而此次汶川抗震救灾过程中展现出的时代精神和民族精神等,值得理论界进行深入总结。
After the outbreak of the Wenchuan earthquake on May 12, the great national spirit, whose sons and daughters never bowed before the disaster, was fully displayed. It can be said that the seismic spirit embodied in the disaster relief process provided rare opportunities and materials for the construction of the socialist core value system, and the core values of socialism have been fully demonstrated. Against this background, on May 18, 2008, a symposium on the socialist core value system co-sponsored by People’s Daily Magazine of People’s Daily, Beijing Scientific Socialist Society and Marxism Institute of Renmin University of China was held at Renmin University of China , President of Beijing Association of Science and Societies, professor Yan Zhimin of Peking University, editor-in-chief of the People’s Tribune magazine Jia Lizheng, dean of the Marxism School of Renmin University of China, Professor Qin Xuan and professor Xu Hongwu from the National School of Administration attended the symposium. The conference centered on the contents of the socialist core value system, the characteristics of the times, the relationship between the core value system and the national spirit. The meeting agreed that the construction of the socialist core value system is of great significance. The spirit of the times and the national spirit demonstrated during the Wenchuan earthquake relief work deserve the conclusion of the theoretical circle.
