《美国艺术300年:适应与革新》于2007年2月在中国美术馆隆重开幕。展览汇集了在美国艺术史上占有重要位置的近120位艺术家的130余件作品,跨越了从十八世纪初北美殖民地时代至二十一世纪初当代美国的各历史阶段,系统地勾画了美国艺术300年的发展轨迹,是迄今来华规模最大、第一个全面反映美国艺术发展历程的大型展览。展览由美国前总统乔治·H·W·布什作为此次展览的荣誉委员会的荣誉主席,由纽约的所罗门·R·古根海姆基金会和芝加哥的特拉美国艺术基金
300 Years of American Art: Adaptation and Innovation was grandly opened in the China Art Museum in February 2007. The exhibition brings together more than 130 works by nearly 120 artists, which have an important place in the history of American art. They span the historical stages from the North American colonial era in the early 18th century to the contemporary American in the early 21st century, systematically portraying American art The 300-year development track is by far the largest in China and the first large-scale exhibition that comprehensively reflects the development of American art. The exhibition was commissioned by George W.W. Bush, the former president of the United States, as honorary chairman of the honor committee of the exhibition, by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation in New York and the Trafalgar Art Fund in Chicago
