由环境恶劣及其变化而产生的疾病是从古至今的中国人都必须面对的灾难之一。这些疾病不但会影响到个人的身心健康,而且对整个人类群体的社会活动,也有着不容忽视的影响。由瘴气所引发的瘴病和瘴疾就是环境疾病之一,在尽人力却难制天命的古代社会里,它所带来的社会影响尤其巨大。由于广西瘴情严重,瘴气对广西的民族分布格局、官僚制度、军事征防、民族文化、交通发展等方面都产生了较大的影响。
The diseases caused by the harsh environment and its changes are one of the disasters that the Chinese people must face since ancient times. Hysteria and chronic diseases caused by belching are one of the environmental diseases. In the ancient society where manpower was hard to find a destiny, the social impact was particularly huge. Due to the grave situation in Guangxi, belching has a great impact on Guangxi’s ethnic distribution pattern, bureaucracy, military defense, ethnic culture and traffic development.
