在美国50个州中,加州的面积居第三位,人口则居第一位。它气候温和,物产丰富,有繁荣的工商业,并拥有巨型的金融机构、国防工业、军事基地以及多所著名的学府和多处闻名全球的旅游场所。加州如果独立自成一个国家,它的整体实力将名列世界前10名。称它为黄金州,确实是当之无愧的。 但是,加州除了曾有过人为的暴乱外,还有蝗虫、果蝇、地震、风灾、旱灾、水灾、火灾等各种自然灾害。
Among 50 states in the United States, California occupies the third largest area with the largest population. It has a mild climate, rich natural resources, thriving business and industry, and has huge financial institutions, national defense industry, military bases and many prestigious institutions and many world famous tourist sites. If California becomes an independent nation, its overall strength will be among the top 10 in the world. Call it the Golden State, is indeed well-deserved. However, in addition to the man-made riots that have taken place in California, there are also natural disasters such as locusts, fruit flies, earthquakes, windstorms, droughts, floods and fires.
