“三个代表”思想是我们加强新时期党的建设的基本方针，也是我们进行理论创新的基本指针。目前我们要解决党建理论上的三个问题：一、党如何保持鲜明的中国工人阶级先锋队性质。二、党如何代表最大多数人的根本利益。三、党如何防止和解决自身腐败问题。为此，我们党要大力发扬延安精神，高度重视总结和运用我们党加强作风建设的历史经验。
The “three represents” thinking is the basic guideline for us to strengthen party building in the new period and is also the basic guideline for our theoretical innovation. At present, we must solve the three theoretical questions on party building: First, how does the party maintain the distinctive nature of the vanguard of the working class in China? Second, how should the party represent the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people. Third, how can the party prevent and solve its own corruption? To this end, our party must vigorously promote Yan’an’s spirit, attach great importance to summing up and apply our party’s historical experience of strengthening style building.
