具有伟大历史意义的党的十二次代表大会,为全面开创社会主义现代化建设新局面,提出了我国经济发展战略的目标、重点、步骤和措施。从现在起到2000年我国国民经济总产值将增加三倍,每年递增速度为7.2%,城乡人民收入将成倍增长。这个历史时期经济发展的战略重点,是解决好农业、能源、交通和教育、科学问题。为了实现这个宏伟目标,要分两步走:前十年打好基础,积蓄力量,创造条件;后十年进入新的经济振兴时期。这是动人心弦的振兴中华的伟大决策,也是鼓舞我省人民实现社会主义现代化的强大力量。
The 12th Congress of the CPC with great historic significance has set forth the objectives, priorities, steps and measures for the economic development of our country in order to comprehensively start a new situation in the socialist modernization drive. From now till 2000, the gross national product of our economy will tripled and the annual growth rate will reach 7.2%. The income of urban and rural residents will double. The strategic focus of economic development in this historical period is to solve the problems of agriculture, energy, transportation, education and science. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, we must take two steps: lay the foundation in the first decade, build up strength and create conditions; and after a decade go into a new period of economic rejuvenation. This is an exciting and great policy of rejuvenating China and a powerful force encouraging the people of our province to realize the socialist modernization.
