吹笛酒吧曾被评为世界七大酒吧之一，1909 年的马赛克瓷砖地板和全新装修的红木吧台，向客人展示了历史悠久的旧金山风貌。
1909年，著名的Maxfield Parrish专门为酒吧创作了画作《吹笛人》。这幅画长4.9米，宽1.8米，重110kg，2013年3月23日曾被短暂取下意图拍卖，当时预估的价格在500万美金之巨。然而由于民众的强烈反对，这幅画经过清洁和修复，于2013年8月22日重新挂回原来的位置。
如今，人们还像往常一样，来一杯Market Gimlet或Buona Vita鸡尾酒，配牛肉汉堡、新鲜牡蛎或松露薯条，一边喝酒一遍打量这幅百年巨制。
Voted one of the World' s Seven Greatest Bars， the Pied Piper bar' s original 1909 mosaic tile flooring and renovated mahogany bar provide patrons with the classic ambience of historic San Francisco.
The famous Maxfield Parrish painting Pied Piper dated back to 1909 and gave name to this bar. The 4.9 by 1.8 meter， 110 kg mural was removed on March 23， 2013 for sale at a planned auction， which was anticipated to bring up to five million dollars. In the light of strong public opposition to its removal， however， the painting was cleaned， restored， and returned to the bar where it was rehung with considerable fanfare on August 22， 2013.
Today， like always， people would order a glass of cocktail like Market Gimlet or Buona Vita， with sirloin burger， fresh oysters or truffle fries， and rest eyes on this century-old masterpiece.
