中国古代有史官随时记载重大事件和重要事物的传统。而中国古代地方志的编纂却不是这种情况,朝廷下达了修志令,或地方官主动要修志才搜集资料,进行编纂。修志时间间隔很长,造成资料大量散失甚至湮灭。编修社会主义新方志要继承中国古代史官随时记录大事优良传统,拓展地方志工作机构日常记事职能。
In ancient China, historians keep records of major events and important traditions. The compilation of ancient Chinese local history is not the case, the court issued a revision order, or local officials take the initiative to build records to collect information for compilation. Chi time interval is very long, resulting in a large number of information loss or annihilation. To compile and edit the new socialist local history should inherit the ancient Chinese historian to keep an excellent tradition of major affairs at every time and expand the daily functions of the local chronicles institutions.
