The treatment of cerebral ischemia is still a thorny problem so far. Although many literatures are sure of the neuroprotective effect of mild hypothermia, the time window of treatment is still not clear. The authors used reversible focal cerebral ischemia model in rats to explore the optimal time window and the minimum maintenance time for the treatment of mild hypothermia after experimental cerebral ischemia.
