马克·吕布1923年生于法国里昂,14岁从父亲那里得到一部简单的柯达相机。二战期间,不满20岁的马克·吕布参加了游击队抵抗纳粹,战后才有机会进入位于里昂的某学院读机械工程,与摄影无涉。毕业后的几年里,他一直混在社会上,后来,他作出人生最大决定:放弃工程师的稳定工作,当一名自由摄影师。刚过30岁的他,初次来到巴黎,并有幸遇到摄影大师布列松。1953年,他加入布列松等人创办的大名鼎鼎的玛格南图片社,两年后成为正式成员。
Mark Lvbu was born in Lyon, France in 1923 and got a simple Kodak camera from his father at the age of 14. During World War II, Marc Riboud, under the age of 20, joined the guerrillas in their resistance to the Nazis. After the war, they had the opportunity to go to a college in Lyon to read mechanical engineering without reference to photography. In the years after graduation, he has been mixed with society. Later, he made the biggest decision in his life: to give up the stability of the engineer and be a freelance photographer. Just over 30 years old, he first came to Paris, and fortunate enough to encounter the master of photography Bresson. In 1953, he joined the famous Magnum Photos founded by Bresson and others and became an official member two years later.
