为了便于讨论,先讲气象特征,并检讨过去,然后再讲现阶段工作和将来展望。一.气象特征围绕整个地球的气圈,在继续运动着,它最下层的现象,永远在演变。因此,气象有下面两个特征。1.最富有时间性和地方性:正因为大气在继续运行,它的性质继续在改变,各种(地方性的,几何的和个别的)微分商有进一级的变差,气象才最富有时间性和地方性。其他自然科学如地质地理生物等科学的内容,都不像气象要素的连续充塞和变幻难测。2.有高度的整体性:按大气环流,大型天气,和世界天气的相关研究,都表示气象具有高度的整体性。所谓牵一发而动全身,用在气象变化的因果上,是很恰当的。
